Nothing hidden
Every question, and why we ask it
Six things. Nothing else. We do not ask for a Social Security number or your bank login on this website, and you should be suspicious of any comparison site that does.
- 01How much you want
- It decides which lenders even see your request. Some fund small amounts, some will not look at anything under a thousand dollars.
- 02What it is for
- Lenders price a car repair differently from a debt consolidation. You are never asked to prove it or document it.
- 03How you rate your own credit
- A rough answer is enough. It saves you from being sent to lenders whose minimum you were never going to clear.
- 04Your income and how you earn it
- This is the part that matters most here. Steady, verifiable income can outweigh a score that reflects a bad year.
- 05Your state and ZIP
- State law decides which products are legal for you at all, and what the rate can be. Get this wrong and the match is worthless.
- 06Email and mobile
- So a lender can reach you. We are not going to call you to sell you anything.
A lender collects identity and banking details later, on its own secure system, after it has shown you its terms. That order matters. You should know the cost of the loan before you hand over anything sensitive.
A realistic timeline
How long each part takes
The form is the quick part. Verification and the receiving bank determine the rest.
- About 2 minutesFilling in the form. Six short screens, nothing to upload.
- Within minutesMost people hear back from a lender in the network.
- Same dayReading the offer, on the lender site, before you agree to anything.
- 1 to 2 business daysFunds land in your account, if you accepted.‡
Timings describe how the process usually runs. Individual lenders set their own verification steps and funding schedules, and a bank can take an extra day to post a deposit.
What the lender has to show you
Once you are handed over to a lender, federal law is on your side. Before you sign, it has to put the following in writing, in a form you can keep.
The APR
The single number that lets you compare two offers honestly, because it folds in most fees. Our network works within 5.99% to 35.99%.
Every fee
Origination, late payment, returned payment. If a charge exists, it has to be named and priced.
The payment schedule
How much, how many times, and the date the loan is finished.
The total you repay
Principal plus everything else. This is the number people skip, and the one that stings.
If any of it is missing, unclear, or more than you can comfortably repay, close the tab. Declining costs you nothing and no lender will chase you for walking away.
